GamerLegion secured a clean 2–0 win over Virtus.pro in the upper bracket quarter-final of IEM Cologne 2025 Stage 1. With this victory, the international lineup moves directly into Stage 2. Virtus.pro will drop to the lower bracket, where they face Heroic in an elimination match. Czech rifler PR was named MVP with a 1.52 rating and 110.4 ADR across the series.

Map 1 – Dust2 (13:8 GamerLegion)

Virtus.pro picked Dust2 but couldn’t make it count. GamerLegion led 7:5 at halftime and closed the map 13:8 after a stable CT side. PR delivered two standout rounds: a 3K defense in a 2v4 and a decisive 3K AK entry to reach map point. REZ also had impact with 19 kills and 84.8 ADR, while Virtus.pro’s FL1T led his side with 18 frags.

Map 2 – Ancient (13:11 GamerLegion)

Ancient was GamerLegion’s pick, and they built an 8:4 T-side lead before VP narrowed the gap. Despite a 4K from ICY and late resistance from electroNic, GamerLegion held firm with REZ and Kursy locking down key retakes. PR again led the scoreboard with 20 kills and 120 ADR on Ancient, pushing his team across the finish line.

GamerLegion join FaZe and Ninjas in Pyjamas in Stage 2. Virtus.pro drop to the lower bracket and will play Heroic next. The final upper quarter-final between Astralis and FURIA will decide the last team to qualify early.
