Falcons Defeat FaZe to Reach PGL Bucharest 2025 Final
Degster leads the charge as Falcons deny FaZe a shot at redemption.
Well, Falcons really are doing the impossible. From a 0-2 start to making it all the way to the grand final of PGL Bucharest 2025, this team just keeps writing a wild underdog story. Their 2-1 victory over FaZe wasn’t pretty, and at times it looked like it might slip away, but thanks to a clutch showing from degster (possibly his last dance?), they got the job done.
The Russian AWPer put on another masterclass when it mattered most, topping the series with a 1.30 rating and carrying hard on Mirage. And yet, this was far from a clean win. Falcons fumbled a massive Ancient lead and barely avoided choking Mirage thanks to a complete drop-off from broky in the late rounds. Still, a win is a win, and now they’re set to face G2 in tomorrow’s final.

It all kicked off with Nuke, where FaZe looked sharp out the gate thanks to a spicy 2v4 from broky and EliGE—but that flash of brilliance faded fast. Falcons instantly struck back and took control with an 8-4 half, TeSeS and kyxsan doing most of the heavy lifting. FaZe didn’t find a single round on the CT side after the switch. Like, zero. Brutal.
Ancient was where it all got shaky. Falcons had an 11-5 lead and looked ready to run away with it, but then they just… stopped playing? FaZe stormed back into the game, forced OT, and won it off sheer stubbornness and some old-school karrigan chaos. That collapse could’ve crushed lesser teams, but Falcons didn’t blink.
They reset for Mirage and looked dialed in. degster and NiKo combined for 26 kills in the first half and it felt like they had the game in their hands. FaZe had one last gasp with a short-lived comeback, but when broky vanished in crunch time, Falcons sealed it without too much drama.
It’s wild to think about where this Falcons team was just a few days ago. After back-to-back losses to Complexity and GamerLegion, most of us had already written them off. But since then, they’ve strung together five straight wins and now have a shot at their first LAN trophy—and maybe the perfect sendoff for degster if those m0NESY rumors are true.
Today, it’s Falcons vs G2. Win or lose, this squad’s got heart.
