9INE, BLUEJAYS, Entropiq and 1WIN advanced to the semi-finals of ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe

The quarter-finals of the ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe have ended, as a result of which the teams 9INE , BLUEJAYS , Entropiq and 1WIN made it to the semi-finals of the competition. In turn, the teams Bad News Eagles, Sprout, Team Falcons and HEET showed an unsuccessful start in the playoffs, going to the lower bracket of the tournament.

According to the results of the opening matches of the playoffs, the Polish team 9INE made a big sensation by defeating the Bad News Eagles (2:1) — the participants of the upcoming major. At the same time, BLUEJAYS surprised no less, as the team managed to outplay Sprout (2:0) and leave one of the "legends" of the same major out of work.

In turn, the Entropiq team won a victory over Team Falcons (2:1), while 1WIN turned out to be stronger than HEET (2:0).

The championship will continue today, October 19, when the meetings of the semi-finals and the first round of the lower bracket will take place.

ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe runs from August 30 to October 23 online. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe and the CIS are fighting for a total prize pool of $50,000, as well as a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 17, which will go to the winner.

  • 1st place: $20,000 + seat at EPL Conference S17
  • 2nd place: $11,500 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 3rd place: $7,000 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 4th place: $4,000 + S43 Challenger League spot
  • 5th-6th place: $2,500 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 7th-8th place: $1,250 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 9th-12th place: 9INE, ECSTATIC, SINNERS Esports and K23 - a place in the S43 Challenger League
  • 13th-16th place: AGO Esports, Team Finest, Ungentium and SAW - relegated to S42 Relegation
