All participants of the playoffs of ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe have been determined

The group stage of ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe has ended. Despite their duration, and the matches started back in August, eight teams found their tickets to the playoffs of the competition. At the same time, eight other teams left the championship for good. For this reason, we propose to sum up the results of the group stage and present intermediate handouts for the tournament.

Group A

The winner of the first quartet was the team 1WIN , which got two victories over SAW (2:0) and 9INE (2:1). The forZe team made it from the second line to the playoffs, which, despite the initial defeat from 9INE (1:2), further outplayed SAW (2:0) and took revenge on the Poles from 9INE (2:1).

Group B

The strongest representative of group B was the Bad News Eagles team, which managed to outplay Ungentium (2:0) and Team Falcons (2:0). At the same time, the French team Team Falcons made it to the playoffs, which, despite losing to the Bad News Eagles (0:2), got two wins over ECSTATIC with the same score of 2:1.

Group C

The leader of the next quartet was the Macedonian team BLUEJAYS , which unexpectedly outplayed Team Finest (2:0) and HEET (2:0), and at the same time made it to the playoffs. Second place went to the French from HEET, who, despite losing to BLUEJAYS (0:2), outplayed SINNERS twice with a score of 2:0 and 2:1.

Group D

Entropiq team became the champion of group D, which managed to beat AGO Esports (2:0) and Sprout (2:0). The Danish team Sprout made it from the second line to the playoffs, which, despite the defeat from Entropiq (1:2), outplayed K23 twice (at the start of the championship there was a technical victory due to the opponent's flight).

ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe runs from August 30 to October 23 online. As part of the championship, sixteen teams from Europe and the CIS are fighting for a total prize pool of $50,000, as well as a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 17, which will go to the winner.

  • 1st place: $20,000 + seat at EPL Conference S17
  • 2nd place: $11,500 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 3rd place: $7,000 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 4th place: $4,000 + S43 Challenger League spot
  • 5th-6th place: $2,500 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 7th-8th place: $1,250 + S43 Challenger League seat
  • 9th-12th place: 9INE, ECSTATIC, SINNERS Esports and K23 - a place in the S43 Challenger League
