Team Liquid outplayed fnatic with a score of 2:1, thanks to which they made it to the quarterfinals of ESL Pro League Season 16. Here, the North American team will meet with MOUZ, which received the best seed after winning Group C. In turn, the fnatic team leaves the competition, ranking 9 -12th place.

The first meeting within the playoffs of the tournament started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the North American team. At the same time, the "liquid" ones immediately seized the initiative on the server, but slowed down a little and allowed fnatic to get closer to the side switching - 8:7. In the second half, the teams continued to demonstrate equal CS until Team Liquid adapted to the opponent's attack and gave out a series of rounds. As a result, the North Americans put the squeeze on fnatic and took the lead in the series — 16:13.

Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, which became the choice of fnatic. And again, the teams showed an equal first half, which ended with a minimal advantage in favor of keita's charges - 8:7. However, after the side switch, the intrigue quickly disappeared from the server, while fnatic took control of the game and quickly equalized the score in the series - 16:9.

Everything was decided on the Ancient map, where the "liquid" ones, having started for the attack, managed to show good potential and took seven rounds at once - 8:7. After the side switch, fnatic was no longer able to return to the game, while Team Liquid quickly ran ahead and managed to get the final victory — 16:10.
