The first confrontation of the entire ESL Pro League Season 16 started on the Nuke map, which became the choice of the Russian team. But if the starting segment was left for the Team Spirit players, who showed several successful rounds with access to the B site, then closer to the change of sides, NAVI found its game and managed to take the lead - 9:6. After switching sides, the "dragons" tried to get closer to the opponent, winning the pistol series. But here the "Born to Win" joined the game, showing a confident attack and quickly taking the lead in the series - 16:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Dust 2 map, which turned out to be the choice of NAVI. Here, B1ad3's team immediately began to pick up the pace, strengthening their advantage. In turn, Team Spirit managed to turn on only at the very end of the half, managing to close the gap and prevent a shameful defeat - 11:4. After the change of sides, there was no intrigue left from the word "absolutely", since the "Born to Win" quickly rehabilitated for the defeat in the pistol round and ran ahead. As a result, NAVI got a landslide victory in their selection and took the lead in Group A — 16:9.

Note that the best player of the meeting was Perfecto, who scored 1.24. In turn, Team Spirit scored w0nderful, who finished the match with the same rating of 1.24.
