The analytical service Esports Charts has shared interesting statistics, according to which the duel between Virtus.pro and FaZe Clan was watched by more than 800,000 peak viewers. This is the second result after the Natus Vincere vs NiP match. The latter, by the way, were watched by more than 866,000 people at the screens. The gap was not too big.

The reason for this hype is the significance of the past match. In the fifth round, Virtus.pro faced FaZe Clan, where the seventh participant of the playoff stage was to be determined. Then FaZe Clan won on Inferno with a score of 16-13, after which Virtus.pro showed a historical result for themselves on Ancient and took the second map with a score of 16-14. The third battlefield was the Overpass map, where the teams did not have the tightest fight, and as a result, Virtus.pro prevailed with a result of 16-11. Thus, Jame and his teammates knocked out their opponents from the competition and continued to fight for victory in PGL Major Stockholm 2021. FaZe Clan, in turn, took 9-11 place in the standings and earned $ 17,500.

As for the views, on average, each Major championship match gains 479,000+ people, and the short-term peak for broadcast was 975,000 viewers and came at the time of the meeting between NAVI vs NiP, in parallel with which MOUZ and ENCE were playing. So far, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 has not been able to break all records and is lagging behind its predecessors. Nevertheless, the championship with a record $ 2,000,000 prize pool is already in the top 5 most viewed Major CS: GO tournaments (44,077,293 viewing hours). StarLadder Major Berlin 2019 (44,977,615 hours) is in fourth place, and the top 3 closes ELEAGUE Major 2018 (49,309,039 hours). The top 2 still includes Intel Extreme Masters Katowice Major 2019 (52,290,204 hours), and the top 1 confidently holds FACEIT Major London 2018 with 61,030,688 view hours. Regarding the latter, I would like to note two interesting points. Firstly, the championship was held in an offline format, and if the event was held online, the indicator could be even higher. Secondly, FACEIT Major London 2018 was almost full of technical pauses. If they were not there, then the maximum number of hours could be significantly lower.
