Astralis leaves PGL Major Stockholm 2021
/Astralis left PGL Major Stockholm 2021 after a 1: 2 defeat to Vitality. At the same time, the Russian team Gambit reached the playoffs of the championship, beating the Swedes from NIP with a score of 2: 0.
Gambit - NIP
The fight for another slot in the playoffs of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 started on the Dust 2 map, which became the choice of the Russian team. However, the first half passed with an overwhelming advantage for the Swedes, who showed exemplary defensive play, gaining seven rounds of advantage at once. Nevertheless, after the change of sides, Gambit forgot about the difference, having already shown its defense. As a result, the Russian team made a beautiful comeback and took the lead in the series - 16:13.
It seemed that the Swedish team would wake up at Inferno. However, we saw a continuation of the second half of Dust 2, where Gambit dominated NIP. At the same time, the Swedes did not bother to wake up in the second half, having recorded the natural defeat - 16: 6.
Astralis - Vitality
The battle for the right to leave Stockholm has begun on Nuke. At the same time, the French immediately seized the initiative, showing an impeccable defense. Despite all the Danes' attempts to win back in the second half, Vitality confidently took the opponent's pick and took the lead in the series - 16:10.
However, on Vertigo, the game changed its direction, as the players of the Danish team now dominated. We have to give credit to Vitality, which tried to recoup after the change of sides. But too big a difference allowed the Danes to exchange picks and equalize the score in the series - 16:14.
Everything was decided on the Dust 2 map, where the initiative immediately fell into the hands of the French. Vitality got a lot more difficult in the second half as the Danes quickly matured into a comeback, coming close to arm's length. And yet ZywOo and the company mastered this match, sending Astralis to pack their bags - 16:13.
