FURIA and Liquid made it to the IEM Fall 2021 North America playoffs

FURIA and Liquid made it to the IEM Fall 2021 North America playoffs. At the same time, there is nothing to prevent the teams from taking first place in their groups. Thanks to this achievement, both teams secured a trip to PGL Major Stockholm 2021, and Liquid will definitely start its journey in Sweden from the Legends stage. At the same time, it's time to sum up the results of the second day of the IEM Fall 2021 North America group stage.

Group A

For Liquid, the game day began with a tough but still confident victory over EXTREMUM (19:16). However, by the evening, the team dispersed, without beginning to invent problems for themselves, thereby sorted out with paiN (16: 4).

In turn, paiN Gaming started with a convincing victory over Bad News Bears, tearing the opponent apart on the second half of the Nuke map (16: 9). I think no one has forgotten the result of the head-to-head confrontation with Liquid - 4:16.

EXTREMUM, having started the game day with a defeat from Liquid (16:19), managed to rehabilitate itself in the eyes of its fans, unexpectedly defeating Extra Salt in the fourth round - 16: 5.

Bad News Bears started their second day of the championship with a defeat to paiN (9:16), but the team was exonerated for the failure with a very convincing defeat of ATK (16: 1). In turn, Extra Salt actually failed the game day, except for the victory over ATK (16: 6) in the third round.

Well, there is no need to talk about the South African team - another steering wheel in the graph of points earned and the absence of even purely theoretical chances of reaching the playoffs.

Group B

The second group continued to be dominated by the FURIA team, which this time dealt with 00Nation (16:13) and Team One (16: 4). As expected, GODSENT took the second place in the standings, which this time left Team One (16: 7) and Evil Geniuses (16:11) out of work.

There is incredible density in the middle of the table. At the end of the fourth round, the 3rd place in the group was taken by the Evil Geniuses team, which, having technically won over Triumph, still could not cope with GODSENT (11:16). In turn, Triumph, not having time to set up a roster before the game with Evil Geniuses, was able to find the strength and outplay 00Nation (16:11), retaining the chances of reaching the playoffs.

Team One failed the second game day, having come up with nothing against GODSENT (7:16) and FURIA (4:16). Well, there is no need to talk about 00Nation - the Brazilians will definitely not make it to the playoffs, at the same time risking missing PGL Major Stockholm 2021 with a 99% probability.
