Liquid and FURIA lead two rounds of IEM Fall 2021 North America

Teams Liquid and FURIA are leading their groups in two rounds of IEM Fall 2021 North America. At the same time, there are many other interesting results in the region that are worth getting to know better.

Group A

The main contender for the playoffs in the person of the Liquid team has shown itself in all its glory. Back in the first game, FalleN and the company skated around Bad News Bears (16: 9). Well, in the evening, the "liquid" strengthened their position in the standings, easily closing ATK (16: 4).

No less interesting is the fate of paiN, which already faced Extra Salt in the opening round, but, leaving Mirage, could not cope with the rival, losing in overtime with a score of 17:19. However, already in the second round, the Brazilians earned points, having dealt with EXTREMUM (16: 8).

In turn, EXTREMUM began its journey at IEM Fall 2021 North America with a victory over ATK (16: 4). But already in the second round, the Australians were beaten at the hands of paiN (8:16), making their way along the grid more difficult.

At the end of the first day, there are three points and Extra Salt, which after defeating paiN (19:17) sensationally lost to Bad News Bears (13:16), confusing the alignments in the group.

In light of the events already described, Bad News Bears, which nevertheless persuaded Jonji to play in this tournament, limited itself to only one victory - Liquid (9:16), Extra Salt (16:13).

But the outsider of Group A was ATK, which at the end of the first day ended up on the last line after defeats to EXTREMUM (16: 4) and Liquid (16: 4).

Group B

The undisputed favorite in Group B was the FURIA team, which after the first day scored six points, closing GODSENT (16:11) and Triumph (16: 5).

The intermediate second place in the group is taken by the GODSENT team, which, having lost in the first round to FURIA (11:16), managed to outplay 00Nation (16: 4).

Another Brazilian team, Team One, has similar results. And if the starting defeat from Triumph (7:16) shocked the team, then a confident victory in the second round over Evil Geniuses (16: 5) returned the guys to the race.

Evil Geniuses, in turn, within the framework of IEM Fall 2021, North America started with a confident victory over 00Nation (16: 5). However, in the second round, the team still did not cope with Team One (5:16), plunging into the abyss of Group B events.

It is a bit unexpected to see Triumph among the contenders for the playoffs, since after two rounds the team beat Team One (16: 7), but lost to FURIA (5:16).

The group's sensational outsider was 00Nation, which lost both matches to Evil Geniuses (5:16) and GODSENT (4:16), finishing in last place.
