Today, September 5, the BLAST Open London 2025 Finals kicked off, with FaZe and G2 facing off in the second quarterfinal match. In a tense series that included overtime, G2 came out on top with a 2-0 victory. Despite FaZe being slight favorites, they are eliminated from the tournament, while G2 will face FURIA in the semifinals.

Inferno (5:13 G2)

The first map of the clash was Inferno – G2’s pick. They closed the first half with a comfortable 8:4 lead. After switching sides, FaZe failed to turn the tide and fell short 13:5.

Dust2 (15:19 G2)

On their own pick, FaZe managed to tie the first half 6:6. In the second half, they took control and led 10:6 after a four-round streak. However, G2 didn’t lose their composure, responded with a six-round streak of their own, and reached match point. FaZe managed to win the last two key rounds to force overtime, but G2 eventually closed it out 19:15.

FaZe commented on the loss briefly on their official account: “Our stay in London is cut short.”
