On the first map, Bind, which was Team Vitality’s pick, both teams played an incredibly close game that extended into a series of overtimes. This time, the North Americans from G2 Esports proved to be slightly stronger and more fortunate, securing the first map with a 15-13 victory.
On the second map, Lotus, Vitality started on defense but initially struggled. At one point, G2 Esports led 6-1, but Vitality managed to recover and ended the half in a 6-6 tie. It seemed like Team Vitality had the advantage, especially since G2 Esports didn’t even have a Sentinel agent in their composition. However, G2 had different plans. Vitality could only secure three rounds on attack, and the series concluded with a 13-9 victory for G2 Esports.
G2 Esports will now face EDward Gaming, a team that previously defeated them in an earlier matchup. Meanwhile, Team Vitality will go up against T1 Esports, whom they already defeated in the group stage.
