The match between G2 Esports and XLG Esports in the Swiss Stage of VALORANT Masters Santiago 2026 ended with a 2–0 victory for G2. The North American squad looked more stable throughout the series and controlled the key moments on both maps, while XLG were unable to keep up. As a result, the Chinese team is eliminated from the tournament.

Map scores:

  • Abyss — 13:8 G2
  • Haven — 13:3 G2

Abyss

The first map, Abyss, was XLG ’s pick, and the game started relatively close. Both teams traded rounds early on, and XLG managed to find several opening duels to stay competitive. However, once the economy began to favor G2, the North American side started to take control of the tempo.

G2 played more structured rounds in the mid game, winning key fights and converting important retakes. XLG had moments where they could have shifted the momentum, but they failed to capitalize on crucial situations. In the end, G2 steadily closed the map 13:8 to take the series lead.

Haven

On Haven, the difference between the teams became much clearer. G2 won the pistol round and quickly built momentum. Their defensive setups limited XLG’s attacking options, and early picks repeatedly put the Chinese roster in difficult positions.

XLG struggled to stabilize their economy and could not string together enough rounds to mount a comeback. G2 remained consistent throughout both halves and confidently finished the map 13:3, closing the series 2–0.

With this loss, XLG Esports leave VALORANT Masters Santiago 2026. G2, meanwhile, move forward in the Swiss Stage and remain in contention for a playoff spot.
