In the first match of the playoff stage at VALORANT Masters Bangkok 2025, EDward Gaming faced off against T1 Esports. The game was extremely close and intense, but EDward Gaming ultimately confirmed their status as favorites. Match details are below.

The first map of the series was Split, T1 Esports' pick. EDward Gaming started on the attacking side and established total dominance, finishing the first half with a commanding 10-2 lead. After the sides switched, T1 Esports attempted a comeback, but the round deficit was too significant. Split ended in a 13-7 victory for EDward Gaming.

On Bind, it seemed like the match would conclude with a 2-0 score, but T1 Esports bounced back from the first map and delivered a strong performance. Playing on defense, they secured seven rounds. After the side swap, EDward Gaming struggled to hold their ground, winning only a single defensive round. Bind ended 13-6 in favor of T1 Esports.

The decisive map, Pearl, was highly competitive, with the first half ending in a 6-6 tie. In the second half, T1 Esports played on the attacking side and managed to gain momentum, at one point leading 11-9 after winning a Thrifty round. However, EDward Gaming did not break under pressure; instead, they responded fiercely. The Chinese team secured four consecutive rounds, denying T1 Esports even the chance to reach overtime, let alone victory. The final score was 13-11 in favor of EDward Gaming.

EDward Gaming’s next opponent will be G2 Esports. The two teams have met before, with EDward Gaming defeating the North American squad. Meanwhile, T1 Esports will face Team Vitality, who had already beaten them during the group stage.
