Having made it to the playoffs, the European team immediately lost to Fnatic (0:2), but then turned on to beat Guild Esports (2:1), DRX (2:0), Fnatic (2:1) and OpTic Gaming (3: one). Well, in the grand final of the championship, FunPlus Phoenix was stronger than Paper Rex (3:2), thanks to which she earned $200,000 and 1,000 points.

ANGE1 and VALORANT Champions 2022 are next in line, where FunPlus Phoenix will go as the main favorite. The championship itself will be held from 2 to 18 September in Istanbul.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022 Grand Final: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen

The final confrontation of the entire championship started on the Bind map, which became the choice of the Asian team. However, Paper Rex obviously did not expect such a rebuff from the opponent, who showed two tough halves and quickly took the lead in the series - 13:3.

The teams then moved to the Icebox map, which became the choice of FunPlus Phoenix. Now the team from Southeast Asia began to take the initiative into their own hands, having an overwhelming advantage in both halves. As a result, Paper Rex managed to rehabilitate itself for the failure at its own peak and equalized the score in the series — 13:7.

Next, the teams moved to the Fracture map, which again became the choice of Paper Rex. And again, the initiative passed into the hands of another team, as FunPlus Phoenix literally broke the opponent's defense and again took the lead in the series — 13:7.

The fourth map of the fight was Haven, which turned out to be the pick of FunPlus Phoenix. Here the audience again saw a relatively equal first half. However, after the change of sides, the intrigue finally disappeared from the server, as Paper Rex managed to develop its advantage and turn the fate of the match to the destroyer — 13:7.

Everything was decided on the Breeze map, where there was a little more struggle than on all the previous ones combined. And yet, at the very end of the meeting, FunPlus Phoenix managed to turn on at full capacity, thanks to which the team scored the first victory in the international tournament - 13:9.
