Paper Rex vs FunPlus Phoenix: who will be the champion of VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters Copenhagen?

There is very little time left before the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen grand final, in which the Paper Rex and FunPlus Phoenix teams will meet. While the team from Southeast Asia is moving undefeated so far, the European team has already managed to stumble both in the group and in the playoffs, falling into the lower bracket at the quarterfinal stage. Nevertheless, FunPlus Phoenix definitely cannot be discounted, because in terms of its potential we are facing one of the strongest teams in the world.

In the course of this championship, Paper Rex has already managed to beat Guild Esports (2:0), Fnatic (2:0) and OpTic Gaming (2:1). In turn, FunPlus Phoenix lost to DRX (1:2) at the group stage, but then beat XERXIA (2:1) and Northeption (2:0), making it to the playoffs. Here, the Europeans started with a defeat in the derby from Fnatic (0:2), but then gathered to close Guild Esports (2:1), DRX (2:0), Fnatic (2:1) and OpTic Gaming (3:1).

Interestingly, the teams have not played each other before.

VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Stage 2 Masters - Copenhagen takes place July 10-24 in Copenhagen in a mixed format. The first weeks of the championship will be held in a studio format, while the final three days will take place at the Forum venue. As part of the championship, twelve participants from Europe, North and South America, Brazil, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia compete for a prize pool of $650,000, as well as ranking points needed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2022.
