The next match was Team Heretics vs Team Vitality. Coming into this match, Team Heretics have a 1-2 score, while Team Vitality are 2-1. After the previous week, Team Vitality look slightly stronger in this matchup, but the Bo1 factor cannot be ignored. Let's see how the match went.

Game 1 Picks:

  • Team Heretics: K`Sante, Dr. Mundo, Ryze, Aphelios, Thresh
  • Team Vitality: Rumble, Wukong, Taliyah, Kalista, Renata Glasc

The start of the match was quite slow, but Team Heretics managed to find two kills in the bot lane and mid. At first glance, this insignificant advantage paved the way for TH to take two dragons. The main problem for Team Vitality was that they had a mostly tempo-based draft, and losing the early stage is critical for them.

But despite the deficit, Team Vitality were able to pull ahead thanks to their aggression and good movement around the map, taking a dragon and also Baron. Although they only pulled away by 1 thousand gold after this, they looked much stronger than Team Heretics.

This game kept the suspense until the very end. Just a couple of minutes earlier, it seemed that Team Vitality were pulling ahead, when a fight for Baron broke out. There, Ice - the Team Heretics ADC - scored a Pentakill. This became the first Pentakill of the tournament and opened the opportunity to take both Baron and Dragon. After that, with full confidence, TH pushed into Team Vitality's high ground, where Ice secured yet another Pentakill. An incredible victory for Team Heretics as they move to a 2-2 score. Team Vitality, after this match, also stand at a 2-2 score.

This year, the LEC Versus 2026 does not provide a cash prize for winning the tournament. Instead, teams are competing for the opportunity to qualify for the international tournament, First Stand 2026. The Regular Season will be held in a Bo1 format where every team faces each other. In total, teams will play 11 matches each, and those with the best results will advance to the playoffs.
