LEC Versus 2026: Team Vitality Defeats Los Ratones in Regular Season Finale
The final day of the LEC Versus 2026 Regular Season kicks off with Los Ratones vs Team Vitality. Los Ratones enter this match with a 5-5 record, while Team Vitality sits at 6-4. For teams that haven't qualified for the playoffs yet, today essentially consists of survival matches. Let's move on to the match review.
Game 1 Picks:
- Los Ratones: Sion, Sylas, Yone, Corki, Bard
- Team Vitality: Dr.Mundo, Pantheon, Azir, Varus, Alistar
It was an active start for both teams, with pressure applied across all lanes. First Blood eventually went to Los Ratones in the bot lane because Alistar exposed himself slightly and took unnecessary damage. However, a trade occurred immediately in the top lane, resulting in a solo kill for Dr. Mundo. Literally just after returning to lane, Sion died again thanks to a Pantheon gank top and, of course, because Sion walked between Team Vitality's towers to farm minions.
By the 13th minute, Los Ratones had ramped up the tempo thanks to Sylas, who was proactive across the map and already sat at a 4/0/1 scoreline. Through these actions, he forced Team Vitality's support to rotate to other lanes frequently, leaving his ADC without protection or farm. This all led to Los Ratones securing two dragons and a 2,500 gold lead by the 15th minute.
At the 26th minute, the teams engaged in a fight for the 4th dragon; Los Ratones won the skirmish and started taking the objective. However, Pantheon managed to dive in with his ultimate, out-smite the Dragon, and prolong the fight, which ended evenly. But missing the Dragon Soul complicates the situation for Los Ratones slightly.
Following this, a fight broke out in the mid lane which Team Vitality won by securing a kill on Sion; this opened the path to the second Baron, which they took without issues. Another major plus was that they managed to even out the gold.
The final decisive fight took place in mid near Team Vitality's base, where Los Ratones could have retreated to play it safe, but they overstayed and were taken down. Long respawn timers helped Team Vitality end the game.
After the match, Team Vitality moves to a 7-4 record and has every chance to secure second place in the group. For Los Ratones, it is not over yet, but their playoff hopes now depend on the results of other matches.
This year, the LEC Versus 2026 does not provide a cash prize for winning the tournament. Instead, teams are competing for the opportunity to qualify for the international tournament, First Stand 2026. The Regular Season will be held in a Bo1 format where every team faces each other. In total, teams will play 11 matches each, and those with the best results will advance to the playoffs.
