The next match featured two teams from the same region: G2 vs MKOI. Both sides know each other’s playstyle very well, meaning this Best-of-One could have been decided by a single mistake.

Game 1 Picks:

  • MKOI: Jax, Wukong, Taliyah, Caitlyn, Alistar
  • G2 Esports: KSante, Xin Zhao, LeBlanc, Yunara, Bard

MKOI started the game with their usual aggressive and fast-paced style, but G2 — a team that has faced them multiple times — knew exactly how to handle it. Just a few minutes into MKOI’s aggression, G2 began to respond — and did so successfully. They played across the entire map, denying MKOI any chance to control objectives, not giving away a single dragon or jungle camp.

One of the key highlights of the match was the outstanding performance from G2 Esports’ bot lane duo, Hans Sama and Labrov, who dominated their lane and kept up the pressure throughout the game. Caps also had a huge impact on LeBlanc, constantly keeping MKOI on edge.

This victory brings G2 Esports to a 1-1 record, while MKOI find themselves in a dangerous 0-2 position — with every next mistake potentially costing them their spot in the tournament.
