KT Rolster edge out Team Secret Whales in a close match at the Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage

The second match of Day 2 at the Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage featured KT Rolster from the LCK taking on Team Secret Whales, the representatives of the LCP region. So, let’s take a look at the picks and how the game unfolded.

Game 1 Picks:

  • KT Rolster: Ornn, Trundle, Orianna, Caitlyn, Neeko
  • Team Secret Whales: Rumble, Jarvan IV, Galio, Ezreal, Bard

At the start, Team Secret Whales applied strong pressure and tried to secure an early advantage, but everything changed once the game reached the mid stage. By that point, KT Rolster’s ADC, deokdam, had already farmed significantly and began joining teamfights. With Caitlyn’s range keeping her safe, the rest of KT Roster protected their ADC while zoning out Team Secret Whales’ champions.

Once deokdam started participating in fights, Team Secret Whales began to crumble. The damage output increased dramatically, and KT’s map control improved, allowing them to secure more farm and key objectives.

This victory brings KT Rolster to a 2-0 record in the Swiss Stage, leaving them just one win away from advancing to the Knockout Stage. Team Secret Whales, now at 1-1, will still have a chance to fight their way forward.

Reminder: the Swiss Stage at Worlds 2025 runs from October 15–19 and 22–25. Sixteen teams play five rounds in a Swiss format: teams with 3 wins advance to the Knockout Stage, and teams with 3 losses are eliminated. Elimination and advancement matches are Best-of-Three with Fearless Draft. All other matches are Best-of-One, so every game matters.
