First Stand 2025

The final match of the group stage between Team Liquid and Hanwha Life Esports determined the teams that would advance to the Knockout Stage of the first First Stand Tournament. For Team Liquid, this match was incredibly important, unlike for HLE, who had already secured their spot in the playoffs. For Liquid, it was a last chance—all or nothing.

Both teams played an exciting series, going through all 3 maps. A confident win on the second map gave hope to both the players and their fans that Team Liquid could make it to the Knockout Stage. However, Hanwha Life Esports proved once again why they are the favorites of the tournament, showing they weren’t going to give up without a fight and ended the match 2:1 in their favor.

As a result, Team Liquid are eliminated from the tournament, while the fourth slot goes to Top Esports. Despite both teams having the same match score, TES managed to win more maps overall.

Now, we’re about to witness the real showdown for the First Stand 2025 championship title. The Knockout Stage will take place from March 15 to March 16, with teams playing Bo5 (best of 5) matches, aiming for 3 wins in Fearless Draft mode. Each team will have only one chance, as the Knockout Stage will follow a single-elimination format.
