First Stand 2025: Expected Victory for Hanwha Life Esports Over CTBC Flying Oyster

First Stand 2025 continues, and today it brought together the Korean team Hanwha Life Esports against Taiwan's CTBC Flying Oyster. A very tough opponent for Flying Oyster, possibly even an insurmountable one.
For Hanwha Life Esports, this match turned out to be incredibly easy. On the first map, the Korean team faced absolutely no resistance. The second map was slightly more competitive, as CTBC Flying Oyster tried to hold off Hanwha Life Esports, and at times, it even seemed like they could take the map. However, HLE is simply on another level, effortlessly closing out the series 2:0.
As a result, Hanwha Life Esports now holds first place in the group, winning both of their matches without dropping a single map. For CTBC Flying Oyster, this was their first loss, bringing their group stage record to 1-1, placing them in third position.
The group stage will continue to excite us until March 14 in a Round Robin format, where each team will face every opponent, earning points for map and match victories. All matches will be played in a Bo3 format. Only four teams will advance to the playoffs, which will take place from March 15 to March 16, with the decisive matches played in a Bo5 format.

Winning First Stand 2025 will etch the team’s name in League of Legends history. Along with a solid $1 million prize pool, the champion secures a direct invite to MSI 2025, moving one step closer to Worlds 2025.
