Liquid defeated Shopify Rebellion 2–0 in a Group D match at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup 2025 (BO2)
Team Liquid and Shopify Rebellion kicked off their Esports World Cup 2025 campaign with a confident 2–0 victory in favor of Liquid in Group D. For Nisha and his squad, it was a straightforward best-of-two match and a comfortable win.
On the first map of the series, Liquid's Templar Assassin in the carry position proved to be stronger than SR's Terrorblade. The Enigma factor didn’t work out for the North American team, and Liquid secured a confident victory in 39 minutes with a score of 33:15. Despite Shopify Rebellion having decent late-game potential, the gold deficit was simply too large for them to mount a comeback.
The second map was total domination by Team Liquid. In this game, miCKe managed to score a RAMPAGE on Nature’s Prophet. Overall, this matchup showcased a clear difference in skill levels — Liquid were simply too strong, and SR had very little chance of winning even a single map.

Esports World Cup 2025 is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing together elite teams from around the globe for a multi-million dollar prize pool. With international prestige and qualification to The International 2025 on the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher for every squad in attendance.
