Talon Esports and Natus Vincere finished Group A opener 1–1 at the Esports World Cup 2025 (BO2)
The Esports World Cup 2025 kicked off in style as Southeast Asia’s Talon Esports clashed with the newly promoted Ukrainian squad Natus Vincere. The Group A opener stretched over 95 minutes, with both teams trading blows and settling for a 1-1 draw.
NaVi grabbed the first game with better coordination and a last-minute hold, while Talon answered with sharper execution and pressure to claim Game 2. In the end, the draw reflected how closely matched these squads are, leaving them deadlocked in the standings with 1-1 map records and 0-1-0 series scores.

Group A remains wide open following Day 1, as all four teams – Talon, NaVi, Team Spirit, and Xtreme Gaming – finished their opening series with a 1-1 result. Up next, NaVi faced Xtreme Gaming on July 9, while Talon battled Team Spirit the same day. On July 10, the two Group A teams will clash as NaVi take on Spirit, and Talon conclude the group stage against Xtreme. With only the top two teams advancing to the playoffs, every series left is do-or-die.

Esports World Cup 2025 is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing together elite teams from around the globe for a multi-million dollar prize pool. With international prestige and qualification to The International 2025 on the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher for every squad in attendance.
