DPC 2022 Tour 1 Regional Finals: Team Spirit on the brink of elimination
Yesterday the regional finals started in China, the CIS and North America. The first round of mini-tournaments is behind us, and we offer you to refresh your memory by recalling the results of past matches.
Results of DPC CN 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals
Teams from China opened the game day. There were 2 bo3 matches, and both ended with a score of 2-1.
- PSG.LGD 2-1 EHOME
- Team Aster 1-2 RNG
PSG.LGD and EHOME played in the debut meeting. The updated line-up of the latter managed to impose a fight on the TI10 vice-champions and take the card into their piggy bank.
EHOME failed to win - PSG.LGD closed the series with a score of 2-1, advancing to the final of the upper bracket of the playoffs.
The second match turned out to be no less colorful — for the 3rd time during the DPC draw, the teams met in a face-to-face fight. The victory was celebrated by RNG, who took the match with a score of 2-1.
Chinese division matches are already underway. EHOME and Aster play in the lower bracket, and later PSG.LGD and RNG will play for reaching the grand final.
Results of DPC CIS 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals
In Eastern Europe (CIS) there was a major sensation in the region. Team Spirit lost the debut match and are now one step away from relegation.
- HellRaisers 2-1 Team Spirit
- Virtus.pro 2-0 PuckChamp
In the first match, HellRaisers, who recently won the Dota 2 Champions League, swept away Team Spirit on maps 1 and 3, thus taking the series. Spirit fall into the lower bracket, where they will play in the match for life.
The second meeting became less frank. Virtus.pro didn't leave PuckChamp a chance, completely outplaying their counterparts on two maps.
Today we are waiting for the continuation of the showdown in the CIS. First, Spirit will play against PuckChamp, and then HellRaisers against Virtus.pro will compete for a ticket to the grand final.
Results of DPC North America 2021/22 Tour 1: Regional Finals
The teams from North America closed the first game day of the part of the regional finals. There were no hot confrontations between the series.
- Quince Crew 2-0 4 Zoomers
- TSM 2-0 Evil Geniuses
The Quincy Crew were not without problems in the first game, but they outplayed 4 Zoomers, closing the series with a score of 2-0. The second match turned out to be even more one-shot — TSM outplayed EG without any problems, finishing the meeting with a score of 2-0.
Ahead of the match for reaching the grand final between TSM and Quincy Crew. As for EG and 4 Zoomers, this pair will play a knockout match today.
Regional finals in China, CIS and North America are held from 18 to 20 February. In each of the regions, 4 teams play for 380 DPC points and $100,000.
