Day 9 came with bad news for the fans of the Omega Esports team and the bettors who believed in their strength. The Philippine team has lost all chances of reaching the playoffs today. The team is left to play in one confrontation against Yangon Galacticos, which will not solve anything for Omega, but will help strengthen Yangon's position if they win.

The last game day presented four matches instead of the usual three. In the first one, BOOM Esports beat Motivate.Trust Gaming with a score of 2-0. The first map was very difficult and finished in 53 minutes, while on the second map it went much easier and it ended in 31 minutes.

In the second confrontation, Omega Gaming and Motivate.Trust Gaming came face to face. Omega failed to take the first map, losing it in 39 minutes. on the second map, Motivate.Trust Gaming played even better and finished the battle in 33 minutes with a victory for themselves. With this, they put an end not only to this confrontation, but also to Omega's performance at this championship. The latter were left without any chance of reaching the playoffs. It is possible that they will abandon the match against the Yangon Galacticos, who are already in the top 3 group stage participants.

The fourth showdown delighted Nigma Galaxy fans and upset Polaris Esports. Nigma Galaxy SEA beat their opponents on the first map in 38 minutes. The focus was on Ember Spirit and Terrorblade. In the second map inYourdreaM, Meracle and their teammates did not reinvent the wheel and took the already proven Ember Spirit, seasoning it with other heroes and took the second map from Polaris in half an hour. This helped Nigma Galaxy SEA gain a foothold in the top 4 teams and gain the opportunity to advance to the top playoff bracket. This right still needs to be defended, but for now there is a holiday on the streets of Nigma Galaxy fans. Polaris, in turn, ranked 6th.

Yangon Galacticos quickly beat Execration in the fourth match. Both maps finished in half an hour, bringing YC to the top 3 and Execration to the 8th place. Fortunately for the latter, Omega Gaming have already taken the place of the only participant who will leave the tournament after the end of the group stage, and therefore, for now, the players have nothing to worry about.

Results of past meetings:

  • BOOM Esports 2-0 Motivate.Trust Gaming
  • Omega Gaming 0-2 Motivate.Trust Gaming
  • Nigma Galaxy SEA 2-0 Polaris Esports
  • Execration 0-2 Yangon Galacticos

Tomorrow's game day will bring us four new confrontations. Most of them will determine the further fate of the tournament participants after the end of the group stage.
