ESL announced its decision on the official Twitter account of the organization. Such teams as Astralis, BIG, FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and MIBR had previously been invited to the tournament.
Five more teams will be the owners of direct invitations. Two teams will pass the European qualifiers, one will go through the North American qualification and one will pass the Asian one. 16 rosters will totally take part in the tournament.
ESL One Cologne 2019 will take place in Cologne, Germany on July 2-7. Lanxess Arena will traditionally be a venue for the LAN final and the general prize pool will amount $300,000.
