Team Liquid became the last quarterfinalist of ESL Pro League Season 14. In the first round of the playoffs, the North American team confidently dealt with fnatic and reached the quarterfinals of the tournament, in which they will play with Heroic.

The meeting with fnatic began on Nuke, which became the choice of the Swedish-British tandem. However, the “liquid” ones quickly showed their attitude, breaking fnatic's attack to smithereens with a score of 12: 3. In such a situation, Liquid had no choice but to complete what they started and move forward in the series - 16: 4.

On the Dust 2 map, there was a lot more struggle, since the starting series of rounds was withdrawn in favor of fnatic. Closer to the side switching, the North American team woke up, in addition, having managed to gain an advantage in the form of one round. However, in the second half, Liquid, galloping ahead early, began to give up the initiative, bringing things to overtime. Nevertheless, in a tense series, the North Americans were a little more persistent, having obtained a victory with a score of 25:21.

Now all the names of the participants of the ESL Pro League Season 14 quarterfinals are known. Tomorrow, on September 9, two matches will be held within the framework of the championship: OG - NIP, Gambit - Vitality. On Friday, September 10, the remaining quarterfinals will take place, in which NAVI and ENCE, as well as Heroic and Liquid will take part.

ESL Pro League Season 14 is coming online from August 16 to September 12. 24 teams from Europe, Brazil, CIS and North America are competing for a total tournament prize pool of $ 750,000 and a lot of ranking points in the ESL Pro Tour and BLAST Premier tables. The winner will not only earn a solid cash reward of $ 175,000, but will also receive a direct invite to BLAST Premier World Final 2021.
