Another game day in the framework of Malta Vibes Knockout Series 1 has ended. As the first stage is smoothly coming to its logical conclusion, the four invited teams have already recognized their rivals in the 1/8 finals.

AGO and Lyngby Vikings met in the first match of the day. The teams confidently took their picks, thereby transferring the game to the desider, which became the Ancient card. However, in a tense battle, Lyngby Vikings turned out to be stronger, leaving the server with a well-deserved victory - 2: 1.

Next came Izako Boars and 777. In this meeting, the teams also went to the third map after the exchange of spades; however, on the decisive map, the Polish team looked unshakable, literally smearing their opponents with a score of 16: 1, which guaranteed themselves a final victory with a score of 2: 1.

In another match, Nemiga almost did not feel the resistance of GORILLAZ, who tried to fight only on the first map. As a result, a natural victory of the Belarusian team with a score of 2: 0 and reaching the next stage of the championship.

In the evening we had a Polish derby between Wisla Krakow and PACT. The teams started right off the bat, showing one confident card each. However, on the third decisive map, the players of Wisla Krakow were slightly stronger in the attack, thanks to which they took the victory with them - 2: 1.

Malta Vibes Knockout Series 1 runs online from 16 to 26 August. In total, 40 teams will compete in the championship with a prize pool of $ 50,000, eight of which have been invited to the second stage of the playoffs. The organizers stated that as they progress, each team will receive a certain amount from the prize pool, while the winner has the opportunity to receive up to $ 25,000.
