WePlay Academy League Season 1: mouz NXT tops the group stage table

At the end of the first week, BIG Academy managed to secure the status of the favorite of the competition, but after the matches of the first day of the second week, this title was intercepted by players from mouz NXT.
The matches that took place on July 26 delighted fans of teams such as VP.Prodigy, NAVI Junior, Astralis Talent and mouz NXT and upset fans of Young Ninjas, BIG Academy, FURIA Academy and Fnatic Rising.
In the first confrontation, VP.Prodigy and Young Ninjas met each other. The bands played at Ancient. VP.Prodigy started on the defense side. They showed good defense and ended up playing 8-7. After the transition, Young Ninjas took 4 rounds from their rivals. As a result, the match ended with a result of 16-11 in favor of VP.Prodigy.
In the second confrontation, NAVI Junior played with BIG Academy and beat the latter with a score of 16-13. The fight was on an equal footing, and BIG Academy was two steps away from victory, but this time the youth team of "Born to Win" managed to gain the upper hand.
An interesting thing happened in the battle with Astralis Talent and FURIA Academy. As part of Astralis Academy, MistR played instead of Gnøffe, but the Danes still played very well, and in the last match they lost only 8 rounds to their rivals.
Mouz NXT and Fnatic Rising put an end to this game day. The teams fought on Dust 2. The first half was completely dictated by mouz NXT and the Europeans took 10 rounds for defense. In the second half, although they lost 5 rounds, they showed good performance in attack and finished this fight with a score of 16-10.

We remind you that the top 3 teams of the group stage will advance to the final stage, where $ 88,000 will be drawn. Places 4-7 will go to Play-In, where they will compete for the fourth invite to the playoffs. The team that took the 8th place in the group stage will leave the competition. Now the teams are playing online, but the select four will go to the LAN final, which will be held in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. WePlay Esports Arena will be the venue for the final fights.
The group stage is played in a double round robin system. The first round ended on July 25th. Second round matches will take place from 26 July to 1 August.

WePlay Academy League Season 1 runs from July 19 to August 29. The total prize pool of the championship is $ 100,000. In the online part, a fund of $ 12,000 will be drawn, and in the LAN event for the four best teams, the organizers will distribute $ 88,000 among the participants. The winner will earn $ 45,000, the vice-champion will earn $ 20,000, the bronze medalist will earn $ 15,000, and the fourth participant in the offline competition will earn $ 8,000.
