
Vitality advance to the IEM Chengdu 2025 Grand Final after a comeback against MOUZ — ropz shines on the decider
Vitality defeated MOUZ in a tense semifinal at IEM Chengdu 2025 with a 2–1 scoreline (16:13 Nuke, 11:13 Train, 13:10 Inferno) to secure their place in the grand final. Despite a strong start from MOUZ, it was Vitality, led by ropz, who showed resilience and composure — pulling off a huge comeback on Nuke and sealing the deal on Inferno to punch their ticket to the final.
Nuke (16:13 Vitality)
The match began on Nuke, picked by Vitality. MOUZ started on the CT side and confidently claimed 9 rounds, looking set to dominate the map with ease. In the second half, MOUZ reached map point at 12:4, but Vitality launched a stunning comeback, winning 8 consecutive rounds to force overtime. In the extra rounds, Vitality managed to close it out 16:13.
Train (13:11 MOUZ)
On their own map pick, MOUZ had a slower start, with the first half going Vitality’s way at 8:4. Things turned around once MOUZ switched to the CT side — they tightened their defense, denied any comeback attempts from Vitality, and took the map 13:11 to even the series.
Inferno (13:10 Vitality)
The decider on Inferno was intense from start to finish. Both teams delivered strong performances in the first half, which ended in a 6:6 tie. In the second half, MOUZ took the lead on the T side at 10:9, but Vitality managed to slow the game down and regain control. In the final crucial round, ropz secured a double kill to clinch the 13:10 victory.
