The Brazilians confidently dismantled The MongolZ, not dropping a single map. After a dominant showing on Mirage (13:5) and a solid performance on Overpass (13:10), FURIA secured their spot in the IEM Chengdu 2025 semifinals, where they will face Falcons.
Mirage (13:5 FURIA)
On their own map pick, The MongolZ couldn’t impose their game. Despite a decent start in the first half, FURIA managed to slow down the Mongolian attack and took 8 rounds before switching sides. Once on the T side, FURIA completely controlled the map, giving The MongolZ no room to breathe. The final score was 13:5 in favor of the Brazilians.
Overpass (13:10 FURIA)
On their opponent’s pick, The MongolZ once again started strong, taking a 4:0 lead. However, FURIA quickly seized control in the fifth round and went on an 8-round streak. On the attacking side, The MongolZ managed to narrow the gap to 10:11, but FURIA stayed composed, closed out the map 13:10, and sealed the series 2:0.
