FaZe eliminate Aurora in IEM Cologne 2025 Group B Lower Bracket Semi-Final
FaZe eliminated Aurora with a clean 2–0 win in the Group B lower bracket semi-final of IEM Cologne 2025. Håvard "rain" Nygaard was the MVP with a 1.56 rating and 105.9 ADR across both maps. The team’s experience and individual clutch plays made the difference, sending FaZe to the lower bracket final while Aurora exit in 9th–12th place.
Map 1 – Nuke (13:10 FaZe)
FaZe picked Nuke and opened with a 7–5 T-side half. Aurora’s stayed close thanks to Wicadia’s two 4k rounds on defense, but FaZe closed it out 13–10 behind key moments: a 1v3 clutch from frozen and two 1v2s from broky and rain sealed late-round control.
Map 2 – Mirage (13:1 FaZe)
Aurora’s pick went completely one-sided. FaZe shut down the Turkish squad with an 11–1 CT half, dominating every lane of attack. EliGE and frozen locked down mid control, while broky operated freely across the map. FaZe finished the job in two quick rounds after the side switch.
FaZe now advance to the Group B lower final, set to face NaVi. Aurora are eliminated from IEM Cologne 2025 with a 9 to 12th place finish.
