FURIA secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over FlyQuest in the Stage 1 Upper Bracket of IEM Cologne 2025. The Brazilian squad closed out Inferno and Mirage to advance, with yuurih earning MVP honors after a consistent all-map showing. FlyQuest put up a strong fight on Dust2 but will now drop to the lower bracket for a do-or-die matchup against B8.

Map 1 – Inferno (13:7 FURIA)

FlyQuest picked Inferno but couldn’t convert on their map choice. Despite a 6:6 halftime, FURIA pulled away in the second half with a 7:1 run, anchored by YEKINDAR’s 4K defense and INS’s early 1v2 clutch for FlyQuest. yuurih and KSCERATO led the scoreboard, while FlyQuest struggled to break through B site setups.

Map 2 – Dust2 (19:17 FlyQuest)

FURIA’s pick turned into the closest map of the series. After two 6:6 halves, FlyQuest edged out the win in double overtime. jks delivered crucial impact throughout, while YEKINDAR’s 1v2 clutch and FalleN’s support gave FURIA hope. Still, FlyQuest held strong in the second OT to force a decider.

Map 3 – Mirage (13:10 FURIA)

The final map was neck and neck at the break (6:6), but FURIA once again had the stronger finish. With yuurih staying consistent and molodoy contributing key mid-round entries, FURIA closed out the map 13:10 to lock in the series. FlyQuest’s late pushes lacked coordination, and they couldn't regain control on CT side.

With the win, FURIA advances to face Astralis in the Upper Quarter-Finals on Friday. FlyQuest falls to the Lower Bracket and will play an elimination match against B8 later today.
