MOUZ Ends Aurora’s Run in Elimination Match
In a high-energy showdown at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, MOUZ emerged victorious over Aurora in Swiss Round 4, winning 2-1 and knocking the Turkish squad out of the tournament. The match took place under the lights of a charged LAN atmosphere, with both teams displaying intense focus and fired-up energy throughout all three maps.
MOUZ opened with their pick of Train, where Aurora initially gained control on the CT side with a confident 8-4 half. However, the European roster flipped the momentum completely in the second half, locking in nine rounds and taking the map 13-10. xertioN led the charge for MOUZ, delivering consistent impact with 89.4 ADR and a 1.22 rating overall.
Aurora responded on Inferno with a stronger performance. The match stayed even at the half, but clutch rounds from XANTARES and coordinated play from woxic helped Aurora edge it 13-11 on Inferno, keeping their tournament hopes alive for one more map.
The deciding map, Mirage, began as a close contest with a 6-6 half, but MOUZ shut it down completely on the defense, winning seven straight rounds to close it 13-6. Strong setups from Jimpphat and precise entries from torzsi and Brollan gave no room for Aurora to recover.
All five MOUZ players posted positive ratings, while Aurora’s lineup struggled to maintain consistency in the second half of the decider. Despite the result, both teams were clearly invested emotionally, with high tension and animated reactions from start to finish.
With this win, MOUZ moves forward to face an unknown matchup in the next elimination on June 15. The full Austin Major results: Stage 3 continue to unfold as the final teams push for a spot in the playoffs.
