HEROIC eliminated FaZe in 2-1 lower bracket thriller
FaZe are out of IEM Dallas 2025 after a shaky 1-2 loss to HEROIC, and this one will sting. After taking Ancient 13-9, FaZe looked like they had momentum. But HEROIC turned the series around on Anubis with tight post-plant clutches, then closed it out on Mirage in overtime, 16-14. The Danes may be ranked lower, but they brought the heat, and FaZe couldn’t match it.
s1mple had one of his quietest series in recent memory. Across three maps, the CS legend managed only a 0.85 rating, 62.3 ADR, and a -12 K/D. In rounds where FaZe needed an opener or a late-round hero play, s1mple just wasn’t there. Combined with underwhelming impact from skullz, that gave HEROIC the breathing room they needed.
Meanwhile, xfl0ud was in god mode. The Turkish rifler posted a 1.32 rating with 93.9 ADR and 1.51 impact, winning duels consistently and anchoring crucial rounds on both Mirage and Anubis. SunPayus clutched up with multiple 1v2s on Anubis, and tN1R quietly carried Mirage with key trades and post-plant conversions. FaZe fought back late with frozen’s 1v4 to hit match point, but HEROIC shut it down in extras.
Here’s how the numbers stack up:

tN1R | HEROIC | 54-46 | +8 | 84.6 | 75.0% | 1.15 |
SunPayus | HEROIC | 52-35 | +17 | 64.5 | 69.4% | 1.11 |
yxngstxr | HEROIC | 48-51 | -3 | 78.1 | 68.1% | 1.01 |
LNZ | HEROIC | 30-45 | -15 | 52.0 | 75.0% | 0.87 |
frozen | FaZe | 51-46 | +5 | 80.0 | 73.6% | 1.11 |
karrigan | FaZe | 55-51 | +4 | 79.5 | 69.4% | 1.11 |
EliGE | FaZe | 51-49 | +2 | 75.4 | 66.7% | 1.00 |
skullz | FaZe | 38-50 | -12 | 62.9 | 73.6% | 0.86 |
s1mple | FaZe | 36-48 | -12 | 62.3 | 66.7% | 0.85 |
With this loss, FaZe exit the event early and leave serious questions about their form heading into the next stretch of the season. HEROIC, on the other hand, proves they’re not done just yet—and they’re taking names on the way up.
