Falcons Beat GamerLegion 2-1 to Reach PGL Bucharest 2025 Semis
Falcons are through to the semis in Bucharest, and they did it by flipping the script on GamerLegion in the rematch. What started as a rough opener on Train turned into a controlled 2-1 series win, sending the French-backed squad into the top four after a rocky group stage.
Match Stats – Falcons vs. GamerLegion (2-1)
Team | Player | K - D | +/− | ADR | Rating 2.1 |
Falcons | TeSeS | 46 - 40 | +6 | 83.1 | 1.13 |
Their map pick of Train didn’t go as planned. It was supposed to catch GamerLegion off guard, but the only ones caught slipping were Falcons themselves. The scoreline showed 13-7, but it felt a lot closer—until the rounds that mattered. Tauson pulled off a slick 1v2 in the pistol, sl3nd denied a last-second bomb plant, and Falcons tossed two crucial rounds before halftime.
"It’s hard to win when you can’t close rounds you’re already winning." — moses, after watching the Train fumble
NiKo was basically invisible on Train, and while he warmed up later, this series wasn’t about him. Instead, kyxsan and TeSeS took the wheel. Inferno was where the momentum started to shift, with kyxsan locking down B in back-to-back rounds, turning the half into a beatdown.
Ancient sealed it. TeSeS dropped a ridiculous 4K in a 3v5 and kept delivering multi-kills when it mattered. He topped the scoreboard, outshining the big names and showing that Falcons don’t need a carry to get the job done.
TeSeS’ quad-kill in a 3v5 was the moment the game flipped. GamerLegion never recovered.
What’s wild is that this Falcons team isn’t even at full strength. The vibes coming into the playoffs were more “dead team walking” than contenders. But somehow, they’ve gone from 0-2 in Swiss to one match away from another PGL final. FaZe are shaky, and 3DMAX are still getting used to playoff pressure, so Falcons are looking like favorites on their side of the bracket.
This is the same squad that made it all the way to the final at PGL Cluj-Napoca, and now they’ve done it again—without NiKo needing to go nuclear.
GamerLegion had their moments, especially Tauson and PR, but it wasn’t enough. The rest of the squad just couldn’t keep up, and ztr, in particular, had a rough one, going 24-46 with a 0.62 rating. Falcons outplayed them across both Inferno and Ancient, and it showed.
If this is Falcons at 70%, it’s scary to think what they could do if everything clicks again.
