Complexity and Team Liquid secures a Major Spots

Today two more American teams that will play at the Major in Shanghai have been determined. This is Complexity Gaming, which not without problems, but managed to defeat M80 with the score 2-0 and Team Liquid, who coped with FURIA and won with the score 2-1.

The match between Complexity and M80 was very entertaining and intriguing, because at some point M80 had even more chances to win than Complexity. On the first map, Anubis, both teams showed quite an equal game, rounds one after another went to Complexity, or to M80. Still, Complexity looked much more confident on offense than on defense and were able to outplay their opponents in the end, largely due to the competent play for T-Side. The second map Vertigo was very difficult for Complexity, M80 were unyielding and even led in the score for a while, but the young team was again let down by the psychological aspect and M80 could not keep the advantage, although they were as close as ever to equalize the score. Vertigo ended with the score 13-9 in favor of Complexity.

In the match Liquid - Furia, there was a real fight to the death. Both teams trampled each other in their polls with a score of 13-2 on both maps. On the decisive map, Inferno, Liquid still had a little more confidence than Furia, who is in crisis. With these wins, Liquid and Complexity ensure their participation at the major. As for M80 and Furia, the tournament is still ongoing for them, both teams have chances to enter the opener from the last slots.

The decisive and very tense matches will take place tomorrow, November 15, where M80 will face BESTIA, who are not the most unpleasant opponent and the Argentines have already defeated the American organization once, so for M80, this is a chance to prove that it was a fluke and make it to the major by defeating the Argentines. Imperial will meet the Red Canids, who have tried and fought hard, but unfortunately for them this RMR is much more difficult than for Imperial. And the last match is FURIA vs 9z, quite an interesting match in which it is difficult to predict something, because 9z is a “dark horse”, and Furia continues to disappoint with its unnecessary defeats.
