G2 Esports made it to the finals of the lower bracket of group A at ESL Pro League Season 17

The G2 Esports team turned out to be stronger than MIBR with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they made it to the finals of the lower bracket of group A at ESL Pro League Season 17. Here, Swani's wards will meet with fnatic to compete for a ticket to the championship playoffs. In turn, the Brazilian team fell into the "Last Chance" bracket, where they will have to play with Eternal Fire.

The final match of the game day started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. However, MIBR obviously did not expect such a situation, since Swani's wards played an exemplary half in defense and carried the Brazilians forward with their feet - 12:3. After switching sides, MIBR tried to win back, but it turned out to be too late. As a result, G2 Esports confidently finished playing in attack and took the lead in the series — 16:8.

Next, the teams moved to the Nuke map, which turned out to be the choice of G2 Esports. Here, the "samurai" continued to bend their line, demonstrating a confident attack. In turn, the Brazilian team played disappointingly for the defense, getting a two-fold backlog - 10:5. After switching sides, MIBR tried to return to the game, but G2 Esports managed to put the squeeze on the opponent and at the same time got the final victory — 16:12.

ESL Pro League Season 17 runs from February 22 to March 26 in Malta. As part of the championship, 32 teams from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Oceania are competing for a total prize pool of $850,000, as well as tickets to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST World Final 2023 for the winner.
