MIBR becomes the last participant of IEM Rio 2023

The closed qualifier for IEM Rio 2023 for North America has come to an end. The winner of the qualifiers was the MIBR team, which in the final meeting was stronger than Complexity Gaming with a score of 2:1 and guaranteed a trip to the home championship in Rio de Janeiro in April.

The qualification for the Brazilian team started with a confident victory over paiN Gaming (2:0). Immediately after that, the team went to the final of the upper bracket, where they defeated Complexity Gaming (2:0) for the first time. After a day of break, MIBR again coped with Complexity Gaming (2:1) to win a ticket to the upcoming IEM Rio 2023.

Closed qualifier results for IEM Rio 2023 for North America:

  • 1st place: MIBR - ticket to IEM Rio 2023
  • 2nd place: Complexity Gaming
  • 3rd place: paiN Gaming
  • 4th place: ATK

Thus, the final composition of the championship participants was formed. Now fans can prepare for the start of ticket sales, which will begin on March 6th.

IEM Rio 2023 will take place April 17-23 in Rio de Janeiro at the Jeunesse Arena. As part of the championship, sixteen participants from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia will compete for a total prize pool of $250,000, as well as a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.

The final composition of the IEM Rio 2023 participants: FaZe Clan, NAVI, FURIA, Team Vitality, OG, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pajamas, MOUZ, fnatic, Outsiders, Heroic, 9INE, BIG, IHC Esports, MIBR and 9z.
