The Fluxo and MIBR teams qualified for the IEM Brazil 2023 closed qualifiers for Latin America and North America, respectively. Very soon they will have to play in the qualifiers to get the opportunity to go to the home championship in April. Both closed qualifiers will be held online from 15 to 16 February.

As part of the second open qualifier, Fluxo managed to beat many well-known opponents, including Furious Gaming (16:7), FUSION (16:3), Corinthians Esports (16:10) and Imperial Esports (2:1). As a result, the team turned out to be the strongest and got a ticket to the closed qualifiers.

Results of the second open qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023 for Latin America:

  • 1st place: Fluxo - ticket to the closed qualifier
  • 2nd place: Imperial Esports
  • 3rd-4th place: Corinthians Esports and INTZ
  • 5th-8th place: ODDIK, Paquetá Gaming, TropiCaos and FUSION

The final list of participants in the closed qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023 for Latin America: 00NATION, 9Z, O PLANO and Fluxo.

In turn, the Brazilian team MIBR turned out to be the strongest in the second open qualifier for North America, where they managed to beat MCS Gaming (16:2), Mad Kings (16:2), Mythic (16:6) and ATK (2:0).

  • 1st place: MIBR - ticket to the closed qualifier
  • 2nd place: ATK
  • 3rd-4th place: Mythic and Evil Geniuses
  • 5th-8th place: Demon Time, Villainous, Infamous Esports and Mad Kings

The final list of participants in the closed qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023 for North America: Complexity Gaming, paiN Gaming, Vendetta and MIBR.

IEM Brazil 2023 will take place April 17-23 in Brazil. Presumably, the venue for the competition will be Rio de Janeiro, where IEM Rio Major 2022 took place last year. As part of the championship, sixteen participants from the CIS, Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia will compete for a total prize pool of $250,000, as well as a ticket at IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.

The current line-up of IEM Brazil 2023: FaZe Clan, NAVI, FURIA, Team Vitality, OG, Cloud9, Ninjas in Pajamas, MOUZ, fnatic, Outsiders, Heroic, 9INE, BIG and IHC Esports.
