The fnatic team beat MIBR with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they advanced to the group stage of IEM Katowice 2023. In turn, the Brazilian team leaves the championship, taking 17-20th place and earning $4,500.

One of the final meetings of the Play-In stage started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. At the same time, MIBR players actively clung to the result, imposing their pace in attack. Despite all fnatic's attempts to reach a series of rounds, the Brazilians managed to close the half in their favor and go to the break with a minimal margin — 8:7. However, after the switchover, keita's men took control of the game to quickly break the opponent and then take the lead in the series — 16:11.

The teams then moved on to Overpass, which turned out to be fnatic's choice. Here, the Brazilians no longer showed signs of life, because they could not adjust to the opponent's fast-paced game. In turn, keita's wards played confidently in attack to resolve all issues even before the changeover — 11:4. In the second half, MIBR failed to wake up and return to the game, as fnatic managed to win the opening series, and then closed the match in their favor — 16:9.

IEM Katowice 2023 takes place from 1 to 12 February in Katowice at the Spodek Arena. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and Latin America, Asia and Oceania are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
