Ilya 'm0NESY' Osipov won the Rookie of the Year nomination at the HLTV Award Show 2022. The player was able to adequately reveal himself in the ranks of G2 Esports. Earlier we wrote that FaZe Clan is the best team of the year according to HLTV Award Show 2022.

At the end of 2021, m0NESY left NAVI Junior and moved to G2 Esports. For the seventeen-year-old player, the main roster of the European organization became the first serious team in his professional career as a CS:GO player.

G2 Esports showed average results throughout the year, but ended 2022 on an extremely positive note. In December, the team became the champion of BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, defeating Team Liquid in the final with a score of 2:0 and earning $500,000 in prize money.

In addition, m0NESY won the Highlight of the Year award for a 1v4 clutch on the Inferno map against MIBR as part of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022. The next tournament for G2 Esports will be BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2023.

The roster of G2 Esports is presented below:

  • huNter-
  • NiKo
  • m0NESY

  • Swani (interim coach)
