Outsiders will not return to the previous name as part of BLAST Premier World Final 2022
/According to the Dexerto portal, the Outsiders team will not return to its previous name as part of the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, representatives of the BLAST tournament operator told reporters.
It should be noted that the day before, the Virtus.pro organization, which de facto owns the Outsiders roster, published a post dedicated to the future tournament from BLAST, in which the former team appeared. However, the community accepted the news in terms of the possible return of the tag.
In particular, the opportunity to return the tag appeared immediately after the club changed its owner. At the same time, the new functionary assured that the organization would deal with the existing problems and try to return the Virtus.pro tag to the squads. However, the organizers of BLAST Premier World Final 2022 quickly dispelled all doubts by answering a vital question.
Recall that Outsiders has been forced to play under a neutral tag since February 2022 - after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, many tournament operators, including ESL and BLAST, imposed sanctions on Russian eSports clubs.
