fnatic wins Elisa Masters Espoo 2022

fnatic defeated BIG 2-0 to become the champion of Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. During the championship, which was held from 16 to 20 November in the Finnish city of Espoo at the Espoo Metro Arena, keita's wards, along with eleven other participants from Europe, fought for a total prize pool of $200,000 and a ticket to the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023.

The championship for the European team started with an excellent performance at the group stage, during which it turned out to be stronger than 500 (16:11), Astralis (16:7), SAW (22:20) and Bad News Eagles (16:12), but together then lost to Complexity Gaming (6:16). However, fnatic still took first place in group B, thanks to which they directly made it to the semi-finals.

Here, keita's wards coped with Astralis without any problems (2:0), thus getting into the grand final at BIG.

The decisive match of the championship started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the German team. However, the spectators in the stands and outside the stadium didn't see any struggle as the fnatic players quickly seized the initiative and finished the defensive half with a devastating 11-4 scoreline. After the side switch, BIG did not deign to show up on the server, while fnatic confidently got the necessary rounds and took the lead in the series — 16:4.

The teams then moved on to Overpass, which turned out to be fnatic's choice. Here, again, no fight took place, since the nominal “owners” again took the initiative into their own hands and closed the first half with a similar score — 11:4. After switching sides, fnatic quickly dotted the i's, thanks to which they won the series and became the champion of Elisa Masters Espoo 2022 - 16:5.
