The teams BIG and Astralis reached the 1/2 finals of Elisa Masters Espoo 2022. Based on the results of the quarterfinals, they managed to outplay 500 (2:0) and ENCE (2:1), respectively. Now the teams will have to meet with previously known rivals, who became the winners of the group stage.

The first quarterfinal of the competition started on the Nuke map, which turned out to be the choice of the German team. At the same time, BIG quickly seized the initiative on the server, wisely managing its experience. And yet, 500 managed to rectify the situation at the end of the first half and get a minimal advantage - 8:7. After the change of sides, the Bulgarian team still tried to break away. However, the team's ideas quickly dried up, while BIG quickly adjusted for defense and took the lead in the series - 16:13.

Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which became the 500 choice. But if everything started in favor of the Bulgarian team, then at the equator of the first half, the Germans found their game and managed to get a comfortable advantage - 9:6. After the side switch, team 500 completely disappeared from the server, while BIG won without a chance in attack and got the final victory in the series — 16:9.

ENCE-Astralis

The final quarter-final started on the Mirage map, which became the choice of the Danish team. However, sAw's men quickly seized the initiative to finish the half in defense with a big margin — 11:4. After the side switch, Astralis still tried to return to the game, but to no avail. As a result, ENCE managed to keep the lead and then take the lead in the series — 16:11.

Next, the teams moved to the Ancient map, which turned out to be the choice of ENCE. Here the situation turned upside down, since the Danes already had an overwhelming advantage in defense and knocked out an excellent handicap - 11:4. In the second half, ENCE started to win back and almost leveled the score. But Astralis players managed to win the final round in order to prevent overtime and move the series to a deader — 16:14.

Everything was decided on the Overpass map, which started with a big advantage in favor of the Danish team — 12:3. However, after the side switch, ENCE players managed to make a comeback and level the score. And yet, here Astralis kept their cool and got the final victory to reach the semi-finals - 22:20.

Elisa Masters Espoo 2022 takes place from November 16 to 20 in the Finnish city of Espoo at the Espoo Metro Arena. As part of the championship, twelve teams from Europe are fighting for a total prize pool of $200,000, as well as a ticket to Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023.
