4251Tournament operator BLAST has officially confirmed the participation of the Outsiders at BLAST Premier: World Final 2022. We would like to remind you that earlier the organizers of the series banned teams from Russia from participating in their championships after the start of the war in Ukraine. However, after the Outsiders' victory at IEM Rio Major 2022, representatives of the tournament operator issued a statement in which they allowed the team to play at the event in Abu Dhabi under a neutral tag.
Congratulations to the Outsiders on their victory at IEM Rio Major 2022! Their win means they have qualified for BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 next month. We look forward to welcoming the Outsiders to our 2022 final tournament, competing under their neutral name and identity.
Previously, NAVI (winner of BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022), Team Vitality (winner of ESL Pro League Season 16) and FaZe Clan (winner of PGL Major Antwerp 2022) became participants in BLAST Premier: World Final 2022. One more slot will go to the champion of BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, while the three remaining participants will be determined by the results of the season in the leaderboard from BLAST.
Recall that the Outsiders team became the winner of IEM Rio Major 2022 , beating Heroic in the grand final with a score of 2:0.
BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 will take place from December 14 to 18 in the United Arab Emirates at the Etihad Arena. As part of the championship, eight teams from the CIS and Europe will compete for a total prize pool of $1,000,000.
