Patsi, who is a Team Spirit player, commented on his team's performance at IEM Cologne 2022 as part of an interview for the HLTV portal. According to the 18-year-old Russian esportsman, the team expected much more from the championship, but still gained valuable experience, which was necessary after the changes in the roster.

This is not the result we wanted to achieve. At the same time, we know why this happened. We have a new player with whom we only trained two weeks before the tournament. Everything will come with time. Be that as it may, we could defeat both FURIA and FaZe Clan. Didn't have enough experience. Many rounds should have ended in our favor. Failures happen, that's all.

In addition, during a conversation with reporters, Patsi appreciated the w0nderful performances.

For a 17 year old w0nderful, this is an unreal experience. Given his age, he played well in his first LAN tournament. Moreover, he had a long break in competitive matches. He showed himself well, but we need to play even more and gain experience in all matches.

At the end, the 18-year-old player expressed his hope that Team Spirit would play even better after the break.

This is a really difficult part of our life. When you move and try to play the way we play, you don't have time for other things. You have to buy things for your new house and stuff and you still have to play 12 or 10 hours a day. Of course, it was very difficult for us, but now I think that the rest will do us good, and after the break we will play normally.

Recall that according to the results of IEM Cologne 2022, Team Spirit took 9-12th place. As part of the group stage of the championship, the team outplayed Team Liquid (2:1), but then lost to FaZe Clan (0:2) and FURIA (1:2), leaving the tournament.

IEM Cologne 2022 takes place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and LANXESS arena venues. As part of the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points in the BLAST Premier table.
