s1mple, the current member of the NaVi team, was recognized as the best player of the past IEM Cologne 2022. According to the results of the championship, the 25-year-old Ukrainian sniper outperformed his pursuers in the fight for the MVP award, despite the defeat of his team in the grand final by FaZe Clan with a score of 2:3.

s1mple finished the tournament with an overall rating of 1.25, which is the third most among all players (ZywOo - 1.31, blameF - 1.29). Nevertheless, the esportsman made it to the grand final with his team, where he lost to FaZe Clan in an equal fight.

In addition, the player topped the stats for K/D Difference (+95), KPR (0.84) and Multi-Frag Rounds (55.1%), and shone in other categories such as number of clutches won (2nd), total headshots (3rd) and entry frag success (4th).

Despite the relatively weak performance of the Ukrainian in the grand final, the pursuers still failed to beat s1mple in pursuit of the championship MVP prize.

This is 21 MVP awards in the career of the 25-year-old Ukrainian player. Now s1mple is even further ahead of dev1ce, who has 19 MVP awards to his credit. Note that the NAVI sniper also became the best player in IEM Cologne 2022 according to the ESL tournament operator.
