The long-awaited Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 grand final, in which Team Heroic and Astralis met, began on June 11 at 23:00 in bo3 format.

The match started with the map Ancient, but even despite the choice of Astralis, they failed to achieve victory, confidently taking the pistol round, and in the next two rounds the team began to lose ground sharply, losing several points in a row. After the change of sides, the Danish club leveled the situation a little, but they did not succeed in snatching the victory. Map ended 16-9 in favor of Heroic

The teams then switched to Overpass, which was chosen by Heroic. They started by winning the pistol round and the next round, but then Astralis seized the initiative, winning 6 rounds in a row. Before the side switch, the situation was slightly favored by the Danish five, but after the side switch, it changed dramatically in favor of Heroic, they quickly took the lead and held the initiative until the end of the match. The map ended 16-11 in favor of Heroic.

The Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022 is the culmination of over two years of events sponsored by Pinnacle in partnership with GRID Esports. The tournament was held from 8 to 11 June in the Swedish city of Lund at the Sparbanken Skåne Arena. As part of the championship, eight participants from Europe, North and South America competed for a prize pool of $250,000.

  • 4th place: Finest - $15,000
  • 5th-6th place: fnatic and Imperial.
